Founder, Open Platform Society
Sammy is the Founder of the Open Platform Society. He is a Hongkonger. He has 20+ years in open source contributions and community leadership, and 10+ years in the open data movement to communicate with the tech industry, data users, companies, governments, and organisations.
Sammy start to contribute to the open source community by establishing Hong Kong Linux User Group in 1997, he also establish Open Source Hong Kong in 2006. Later on, he starts to involve in the global open source community and open data activities from 2011, connected with regional communities, organisations, governments, and councils. In 2022, he becomes a board member of the GNOME Foundation and a fellow member of the Python Software Foundation.
